The TPRA is hosting a social and information sharing event at the Rosedale Golf Club on September 21, 2023. All residents residing within the boundaries of the association are invited to attend. There is no virtual attendance available.

About the Event

The purposes of the event are to:

1. Opportunity to meet fellow residents of the TPRA.

2. Provide update of the activities of the TPRA over the past few years.

3. Provide information about the regulatory changes at Toronto Planning that will impact

the nature of our neighbourhood.

4. Inform residents that TPRA needs additional members and volunteers to maintain our

status as a resident’s association.

5. Stimulate a discussion of options for the changes to the future structure and roles for

the TPRA.

Event Agenda:

1. Welcome and Introductions

2. Presentation on the activities of the TPRA since the last AGM

3. Guest Speakers:

     Don Walley West Councillor Jaye Robinson

     Geoff Kettel – Co-chair of the Federation of North Toronto Residents Association (FoNTRA)

                                  Topic: Regulatory Changes at Toronto Planning that will impact the nature of our residential neighbourhood.

     George Fallis, Professor in the Faculty of Arts in the Economics Department and the Urban

                                  Studies Program.

                                  Topic: Economic Impacts of Ontario’s Residential Land Use Planning Policies and

                                  Description of the Real Housing “Crisis” (What We Really Need)

     Open Question and Answer Session:

                                  Topics:

                                  What can we do to limit the negative impacts of intensification on our neighbourhood under the new land use planning regulations?

                                  What roles do we want the TPRA to play going forward?

    Closing Remarks

To help us estimate the number of guests, kindly RSVP to: tpratoronto@gamil.com. This is not a

requirement, and you may attend whether you RSVP or not.

The parking lot of the Rosedale Golf Club is being re-paved and will not be available for use on

September 21. Please plan to walk or arrange to be driven to the event.

The TPRA does not have email addresses for all of the neighbours that reside within the boundaries of

the association. If you have neighbours that you believe do not receive correspondence from the TPRA,

please forward this invitation to them, copy to the TPRA email address tpratoronto@gmail.com.

5. Rosedale Golf Club Dress Code:

In private function areas, Rosedale maintains a ‘smart casual dress code’ at all times. While a jacket

and tie are not required, they are always welcomed. No blue jeans, denim, shorts, golf shirts or athletic

attire are permitted in private function areas at any time. Gentlemen’s shirts must be tucked in. Skirts

and dresses must be at an appropriate length.
